Philip Marlowe, the hardboiled, hard-drinking private eye from Raymond Chandler’s novels, did much to popularise the Gimlet in the 1950s.
Oozing simplicity and elegance, ‘It beats Martinis hollow” claimed Marlowe.
Traditionally drunk in a Martini glass, we also recommend serving in an ice-filled wine glass and topped up with sparkling water.
Ingredients: Pinkster, lime juice, and sugar syrup.
